Jai Shree Krishna
I sincerely hope that you are all safe, keeping well and looking
a er each other. During these unparalleled and strenuous times,
the LCNL Bereavement team have endeavoured to maintain
most of its normal services. Whilst these have been challenging
and di cult in phases and times, the team has adapted quite
well with social distancing with the additional use of technology
and social media where necessary.
Apart from being supportive in providing the usual services like
funeral Vidhi, o er the list of items required samagri for the last rites, organize prathnas
via video conferencing and continue to send Bereavement noti cation emails the
team has faced and provided help and support from many di erent angles, and
these include :
• Support the bereaved families in many other special and unique ways according to
their wishes, as generally we are the rst point of contact for them.
• We support them to let others in the community know of the bereavement and
provide details of other useful contacts, such as Funeral Directors, Priests etc.
• We receive various requests from families, and the team, led by Vinubhai enjoy
teaching many of the younger generations about the concept of the soul, the
connection with the body and why we are grieving.
• The team needed to embrace Zoom and used it extensively to work with the
bereaved families to provide the required funeral services and prayers.
• rrespective of the restrictions placed upon us all during lockdown, we feel that our
I
positive approach has allowed bereaved families to feel reassured that they have
been able to conduct adequate prayers, rituals etc a er the passing away of their
loved ones.
• Overall, the team feel very proud and satis ed that we have been able to aid the
bereaved families during these extremely di cult and challenging times for us all.
My sincere appreciation to the LCNL Executive team, well lead by Yatinbhai Dawada
and bereavement team for their support, dedication and sel ess service during these
extraordinary times. It is very touching to receive positive and valuable feedback from
various sources including Lohana community, worldwide. The whole LCNL bereavement
team sincerely appreciate this acknowledgement.
