The following team was formed for the new term a er recent
AGM.

I hope you and your family had been keeping well and safe during the long
lockdown. I am glad that now most of the restrictions have been li ed and we

can organize some of our events physically at DLC. Firstly, I would like to thank
LCNL President and the Executive committee for selecting me as a Chairperson
of Activity Team for this term. I feel extremely proud to have at my disposal some
talented youngsters in the Team who will come up with fresh ideas for our events.

The team organized various successful events in the past two years. Once again
we plan to undertake more events to cater for all the ages during this term. The
main objective of the team is to arrange activities for the community which will
be inspirational, informative and practical. We aim for such activities to take
place once every month but with due consideration to usual holiday periods and
other community events. The activities will be in the a ernoons or evenings and

will last around two hours. The format will depend on the nature of the activity
but will typically involve an outside speaker followed by Q and A sessions or
practical exercises / workshops / coaching.
The target audience will depend on the type of activity, but the team will
endeavor to organize events that will be of interest to the cross-section of the
community. Last year we had between 500 to 1000 people who attended
our Zoom events, which was very pleasing. Already we have had one event
on Saturday 12th June, in the a ernoon which was a Cooking Demo by Trusha

Dawada and was hosted by Sarita Sabharwal. This event was a great success.
Anticipated Future Events :
August (TBC) – Bingo at DLC
September (TBC) – Meditation / Yoga at DLC
6th October 2021 – Garba Workshop at DLC
We will keep you informed on future dates as soon as these are nalized and
look forward to your support. Please suggest if anyone has any new ideas about
events.
