                                 Dear fellow Raghuvanshis,
Jai Shri Krishna ~ Jai Siya Ram ~ Jai Jalaram
Diwali is an occasion for celebration, family and reflection. As President of the Lohana Community

North London, on this auspicious occasion I would like to extend A Happy Diwali and wish you
and your family a very prosperous Hindu New Year 2079. May it bring universal compassion,
peace, love and awareness of unity to all.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, well-wishers, sponsors, community
members, supporters and committee members and wish that the festival of lights brings every joy
and happiness to them all. Without all of your blessings, seva and support we would not be here!

My committee, affiliated bodies and their immediate families, I would further my gratitude to you all from myself and members
of our wonderful community. You have supported me and our community to ensure we entertain, promote culture and strong
values through seva. You have all spent countless hours, preparing for event and executing them with such professionalism,
myself and the community convey our wholehearted thanks.
Despite the challenges, we have celebrated all our religious events such as Ramnavmi, Hanuman Jayanti, Shivratri, Janmashtami,
Jalaram Jayanti, Navratri Chopda Pujan and various other functions. I particularly want to mention that the Jubilee celebration
was organised jointly with Raghuvanshi Charitable Trust in June in their grounds. We had a large turnout and a great celebration.

This year we also saw the passing away of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We had sent a message of condolence and held
memorial Shradhanjali prayers for her which was viewed globally. We wish our new King Charles III success in following
in the footsteps and standards set by the late Queen in the pursuit of service to the people of the United Kingdom and the
          Commonwealth.
The world has seen significant success in combatting Covid 19 with life in general returning to normality although, the virus is

not totally eliminated. However, many are now faced and effected by the cost of living crisis. Let us be aware and mindful in the

true Diwali spirit of love, compassion and support for those that are struggling.
I am grateful to Ronak Paw who performed his secretarial duties admirably and our Treasurer Vinod Sakaria, Social Secretary
Pratapbhai Khagram who have both always been on hand. I also want to thank Amit Chandarana and Amit Karia our IT team
for the work they are doing with LCNL the website and social media platforms.
We are blessed to have a strong operating committee consisting of the Mahila Mandal, Young Lohana Society, Social Centre for
Senior Ladies and Senior Men. In addition, Trustees of our Lohana Charitable Foundation & Raghuvanshi Charitable Trust
continue with their excellent work of managing assets of the community.

My heartfelt congratulations to the joint convenors Meena Jasani and Yatin Dawada for compiling this quality, memorable
publication. I would also like to thank sub-committee members Pratibha Lakhani and Urmila Thakkar for their support, as they
have all worked tirelessly to complete this huge task.
I am profoundly thankful to all the advertisers of this bulletin as without them, it would not be possible to create this magazine.
The advertisers have been very supportive which makes me feel immensely proud of our community. Our Mahajan is classed
as a role model and this is only possible with such support. My sincere thanks to everyone who have contributed by writing
interesting articles and sharing their specialist knowledge and experiences.
Finally, I would like to thank Sadhna Mehta, my family and my staff for their

continuous encouragement and support in helping me to fulfil my duties.

Personally, I felt Jalaram Bapa’s divine vibes and feel blessed and proud to fulfil
my responsibilities in serving the community as President.
Jai Shri Krishna ~ Jai Siya Ram ~ Jai Jalaram

Nutan Varsh Abhinandan to everyone. Stay safe and well.
          God bless you all.
