LCNL President’s Report
Namaste
Diwali is the most important festival in our Hindu calendar. It is a festival of lights symbolizing
victory of good over evil and the glory of light. Diwali is also celebrated as the day that
Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. This year January 22 2024 was a
memorable day for all the Hindus around the Globe. The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, which is
birth place of Ram, a grand Hindu temple was inaugurated after 500 years and Shree Ram
murti was established. On this auspicious occasion of Diwali I am honoured to wish you all
Shubh Deepavli & aap sarvane Nutan Varshabhinandan.

LCNL is looking forward to welcoming the New Year with dedication to serving our Community at every level
and I am encouraged by your support this year and hopefully in future.
Diwali is always a time to reflect and show appreciation to everyone and I take great pride in the achievements
of all our Committees and members, I applaud the following - Social Team, our operating bodies – YLS, Youth,
Mahila, Senior men & ladies & all the Conveners who are dedicated and invest valuable time in organizing
religious, cultural, Educational, Business, Health related and Entertainment events. LCNL’s Bereavement Team &
Yoga group are efficiently and with dedication providing their services. In addition to this we have a strong and
supportive LCF & RCT Trust Boards who are playing their different roles efficiently.
All the activities of LCNL are comprehensively transmitted to all our members at large via e-shots & News &
Events. We at LCNL are very grateful to our members and well-wishers and especially our sponsors. We are
increasingly motivated by our digital teams who guide us in this Digital Age.
I would like to take this moment to thank all the selfless volunteers from Vinubhai Kotecha’s volunteer’s group,
our well-wishers, sponsors, all our members and special applause to all our committee members.
I am proud to announce that this year we introduced variety of events with diversity & inclusivity namely –
Demystifying IVF on Zoom, International Women’s Day (women can do anything), Black Tie event, Whist Drive,
South Asian foods & its impact on health, Diabetic Screening and in December we are planning an Eye camp.
I am very grateful to Medical camp Convener Prof. Bhikh Kotecha for organizing relevant and important Health
camps which are very beneficial to our Community.

We have successfully launched LCNL’s Meet & Greet Friendship Group.
Massive Congratulations to Bharat Ghelani, Past President Yatin Dawada, Secretary Amit Chandarana editing
this wonderful Diwali magazine. Special thanks to our Immediate Past President Dinesh Shonchatra, Assistant
Webmaster Dipen Tanna, LCF Chairperson Vinod Thakrar & the team for all their help in compiling this
magazine in timely fashion.
I will entertain your ideas and suggestions which would entice LCNL to partake in more activities and ventures
that would augment our already thriving community as whole.
I am very honored to thank our advertisers, your continued support is thoroughly appreciated in the highest
regard by LCNL and our wider Community as we could not produce the yearly Diwali Magazine without your
trust and support.

Big thanks to our religious events Sponsors, well-wishers & the Community at large.
Lastly, being at helm of such a long standing organization is a true honor and I put myself forward with
dedication and this is not possible without immediate and internal support from my entire family & friends.
To this end, I would like to thank my husband Nitin, my daughter Krupa, son in law Soren, grandson Luca my
brother Atul and bhabhi Palvi for their encouragement throughout the year.

We have all endured some challenging times, I would like you all to join me in offering a prayer for peace and
harmony to prevail and I truly wish for goodwill to all and a happy, healthy future now and always….
