Invitation to Ayodhya Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony
Since childhood I have had unwavering faith in my Isht Dev Ramji. I have been committed to
propagating Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Naam and Seva, guided by the teachings of my Satguru,
Sant Shri Hirji Bapa, and my late father, Pujya Shri Rambapa, who was pivotal in establishing the
foundation of Sanatan Dharma and Ram Naam in the UK.
Pujya Bapa encouraged me to start my own charitable endeavours which lead to the creation
of Divya Seva Foundation in 2005 which works to educate and empower women and girls from
underprivileged backgrounds as well as be a first responder in times of humanitarian crises. During
Covid-19 one example was a mammoth initiative to build a temporary hospital in Gujarat and send
oxygen and key supplies to India. All of this led to one of the most significant moments of my life –
attending the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.
When I received the invitation for this momentous occasion, it
felt utterly surreal. It was as if a deep, lifelong yearning within
me had finally been fulfilled. Since my youth, I have always felt
a strong calling to have darshan of my Ramji in this lifetime. As
I sat in my temple, overwhelmed with emotion, I expressed my
gratitude to Ramji a thousand times over.
The moment I arrived in Ayodhya, I felt the sacred energy
surrounding me. The atmosphere was pure and sanctified;
the dancing in the streets and chanting of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ in
every corner was mesmerising. On the main day, 22nd January
2024, during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, I was overcome
with emotion, experiencing the divine darshan of Ram Lalla
was truly beyond words – it gave me the ultimate feeling of
completeness.
After 500 years this sacred temple has been reinstated and
stands tall as a testament to the strength and faith of millions
of Hindus around the world. Whilst we celebrate we should
not get complacent. It’s important to encourage the next
generation to be informed, question and take part in our very
rich traditions, taking strength from our faith which teaches
truth, love and respect for all beings and our environment.
This opening isn’t just an event for us; it’s a lifetime
achievement. I was especially proud to be the only female from
the UK to be invited to this historic moment. I am proud of my
heritage as a Raghuvanshi and feel blessed to have been born
a Hindu, which has taught me to offer my life in selfless service.
